Alexus and Greg’s wedding day took place in the heart of the Douro Valley, at Quinta de São Bernardo — a winery and farmhouse by the river, surrounded by a truly unique landscape. We designed sculptural arrangements for the ceremony to contrast with the natural beauty of the estate. The bridal bouquet featured anthuriums, orchids, and amaranthus, complemented by seasonal flowers.

September marks vindimas in the Douro — the poetic season when grapes are harvested and destined to become wine. The reception location could not have been more timely, set just beneath the vines filled with ripe grapes. Arrangements in different sizes, paired with bud vases and candles, completed the scenery. The saxophonist led guests from dinner to the party indoors, with espresso martinis in hand.

“It’s hard to pick a favorite moment from our wedding weekend, but this might be it,” said the bride.
